High School, 9th-12th Grades

At Thomas Sumter Academy, our high school students are developing into well rounded individuals who are fully prepared for college and life. Academics are rigorous and play a key role, but our students are also engaged in clubs, dance, theatre, sports, service, and leadership.
All high school students take a seven-course daily schedule. Central Carolina Technical College offers classes on our campus for Juniors and Seniors. Students may graduate high school with up to a year’s worth of college credit. Our on-campus dance studio enables our dancers to take dance class as a part of their daily curriculum.
Our goal is to create independent learners with the study and organizational skills necessary to be successful in high school, college, and beyond. They learn to do life at their home away from home. “The Hill” is a family.
With our school motto reading “ACTA NON VERBA,” we offer various opportunities for our students to serve our school, community, and state through their actions. Yearly food drives, coat drives, and Operation Christmas Shoe Box drives are organized and implemented by students through our various clubs, classes, and athletic teams.
